Camarillo, California is a growing community located a few miles east of the Pacific Ocean and southeast of Ventura. In years gone by this was a major agriculture area in Southern California and remains a big player in agriculture products today. In recent decades the real estate offered includes traditional single family homes in traditional type neighborhoods, custom built single family homes and estates, gated golf course community homes, retirement communities, condominium and townhouse complexes and apartment complexes. The year around climate is warm and welcoming.

This City is the home of Leisure Village, the largest senior housing development in the state of California. Golfing is big in Camarillo with courses located all over the area, including at Leisure Village.

The San Fernando Valley is just east of Camarillo and Los Angeles just beyond that by a few more miles. The Cities of Oxnard and Ventura are a few miles northwest and Santa Barbara several miles beyond Ventura, up the coast.

The residents of Camarillo have the surrounding beauty of the rolling green hills, the coastal weather and soft, cool breezes that blow off the Pacific Ocean. To the southeast lies the Malibu Hills and the beaches just beyond those hills. All around are sprinkles of mature orange and lemon groves, with many of the trees now located in front and back yards of many of the new homes and home sites. The children are well served, attending the highly rated and award winning Camarillo schools.

The offshore Channel Islands are easily accessible a few miles to the west through the Ventura Harbor and offer a diverse selection of water activities and events all year around. There are numerous trails in the area offering hiking, jogging, biking, horseback riding and exploring, and more.
